Graham Slee Era Gold Reflex

The Era Gold REFLEX phono preamplifier stage is moving magnet and high-output moving coil input sensitivity. It should be used with fully shielded interconnects from pick-up arm to input, and from output to amplifier/preamplifier. For use with conventional (low output) moving coil cartridges, it should be used with the Elevator EXP head amplifier (connected in front of the REFLEX). The Era Gold REFLEX phono preamplifier uses RIAA equalisation for all modern LPs and singles. For older records and 78s, which are recorded to a number of different EQ curves, use the Revelation phono preamplifier instead of the REFLEX. The Revelation phono preamplifier will also equalise modern LPs and singles used in its RIAA position.

The Era Gold REFLEX phono preamplifier is supplied with our PSU1 safety approved CB certificated inline power supply.

Graham Slee Elevator EXP

The Elevator EXP is an electronic step-up device designed to lift the output of conventional low output moving coil cartridges to the same level as high output moving coil and moving magnet cartridges. It thus serves the same purpose as a step-up transformer but with a number of advantages:

1] It does not suffer the induced hum pick-up problems of step-up transformers.

2] A greater number of input load impedances are available without affecting its electrical gain. The Elevator EXP offers 7 input load impedances from 23 Ohms to 47k Ohms.

3] It has a much wider and flatter phase-faithful frequency response.

4] None of the cartridge output is wasted as it would with a transformer in energising its magnetic field - often in a non-linear fashion.

The Elevator EXP therefore gives a more openly detailed transparent rendition with better musical timing and a more natural tonal balance.
