Denon AHD-2000

The superior headphone housing used in the AH-D2000 to produce high quality sound is made of materials yielding exceptional acoustic characteristics ensuring faithful reproduction of the original sound. Compound metal is used to increase density, making the sound more stable and clear.

High-quality cables made with 7N-OFC copper of equal lengths for the L/R channels are used to maintain optimum sound quality. A cloth mesh jacket is employed for cable protection and durability, and it is terminated with an aluminum covered connector plug for strength and performance.

A light-weight magnesium frame has been used so that listeners can enjoy maximum comfort during extended listening sessions.

Denon AHD-5000

The AH-D5000 has been designed for music lovers who want to enjoy a realistic sound in complete peace. The enclosures employ housings made of natural wood Mahogany with superior acoustic characteristics that are rich with a broad, natural sound. Mahogany is a very popular material for drum making and guitars because of its great integrity and capability to produce very dark, warm tones compared to other more common wood types like maple or birch. Along with its acoustic characteristics, mahogany's light weight makes it an excellent headphone material as well.

Microfiber has been used to form the diaphragm so that it faithfully reproduces the sonic details and delicate reverberations that occur in concert halls. The size of the Microfibers is approximately 1/100 that of natural cellulose used in ordinary diaphragms, and with this density, transmission rates are increased. In comparison, Microfiber diaphragms are (x20,000) and natural cellulose fiber diaphragms are (x150).

The Acoustic Optimizer provides optimum acoustic characteristics by adjusting the sound pressure balance in front of and behind the diaphragm. This makes the sound more dynamic, provides clear bass, and also keeps balance at low to mid frequency ranges.

The cable used is made of high purity 99.9% 7N OFC cable and employs an aluminum connector cover and a cloth mesh jacket. High-quality cables of equal length for the L/R channels are used to maintain optimum sound quality and performance.

Additionally the AH-D5000 headphones use a light-weight magnesium frame. This frame lets listeners enjoy maximum comfort during extended listening sessions.

Denon AHD-7000

Sennheiser IE-8

The flagship model of the IE Series, the IE 8 mark a milestone in the development of ear-canal phones. With their unique technology, the IE 8 enable the user to precisely fine-tune the bass response according to his or her preference. An interchangeable, Kevlar®-reinforced cable ensures a maximum of serviceability and flexibility; different cable lengths and configurations are available. The IE 8 come with a wide variety of ear adapters, offering a high noise attenuation of up to 26 dB!

The carrying case of the IE 8 has been fitted with (replaceable) dry salt pads. These pads ensure a constant level of humidity of the product when stored, which is particularly helpful as the ear-canal phones may have been exposed to sweat during use.

The IE 8 are optimised for professional monitoring use and ideal for portable AV devices like MP3, DVD and CD players, iPods, iPhones (iPhone and iPod are registered trademarks of Apple Inc. in the U.S. and other countries), or any other mobile phone with a 3.5mm stereo jack.

Grado PS1000

Grado is proud to introduce the new flagship of their headphone line, the PS1000. This hybrid design has an inner sleeve of a selected species of hand-crafted mahogany made by using an intricate curing process. Its outer housing of metal machined from a special non-resonant, very hard metal alloy utilizes a special processing and casting method to increase the porosity of the alloy. This combination of wood and metal insures that the earphone chamber has no "ringing" which might obscure detail or add coloration. The way the wood and metal housing moves air and reacts to sound vibrations is now virtually unaffected by transient distortions. Grado has also designed a new cable for the PS1000. The new eight-conductor cable design, utilizing UHPLC (ultra-high purity, long crystal) copper, improves control and stability of the total range of the frequency spectrum. The PS1000 also utilizes a newly re-configured voice coil and diaphragm design, resulting in unsurpassed speed and accuracy response. The cushion design creates the correct balance between the driver and hybrid housing to give the resulting musicality desired. The cushion design also makes the PS1000 one of the most comfortable to wear headphones in the world. Grado has taken all their knowledge and years of experience in controlling resonances and eliminating distortions and this has culminated in the development of their finest headphone ever, the PS1000.

Listen, enjoy and agree.
